We’re growing Greener all the time!
Absecon Mills is proud to extend our recycling program to our line of wall coverings. This makes all our polyolefin fabrics and wall coverings completely green!
Here’s how it works...
Polyolefin is actually manufactured from industrial waste, as a by-product of gasoline manufacturing, thus removing raw materials from the waste stream. After use, fabrics and wall coverings made with polyolefin are regenerated to produce a variety of durable goods.
Fabrics will be sent to a technology center in Georgia, and then sent on to be converted into inert plastic resin pellets. These pellets will offset the need for virgin plastic pellets derived directly from the world oil production flow, thus minimizing environmental impact. The recycled resin will be used in various applications, including:
Automotive interior parts, such as door handles and radio and CD bezels
Under-the-hood parts, such as air filter housings and radiator fan housings and trunk liners
Flower pots, synthetic pine straw and weed block fabrics
Water filters and filtration fabrics
Absecon Mills is very excited about this revolutionary program, making our products green from inception to disposal, and we hope you’ll join us in our continuing efforts to lessen our footprint on the environment and act as responsible inhabitants of our planet by nurturing and protecting it.
